Our supplier's journey to find these unique pendants is worth telling. He had a dream about jars full of figures one night and the next day was walking through the countryside, and by chance stumbled upon a place overflowing with these historical figurines in jars.
Could be related to the cultural and spiritual symbolism of Pachakamak. Duality as suggested by the two heads might symbolise complimentary forces, such as life and death, male and female, or the spiritual and physical worlds, which were all common themes in Andean cosmology.
