Our supplier's journey to find these unique pendants is worth telling. He had a dream about jars full of figures one night and the next day was walking through the countryside, and by chance stumbled upon a place overflowing with these historical figurines in jars.
Pacha Kamaq is a Quechua phrase that translates to Creator of the World. Pachacamac was the creator god of the Ichma people who lived in the area before the Inca conquest. The Inca adopted Pachacamac into their pantheon, but he was not considered equal to Viracocha, the Inca's most powerful god. Pachacamac was associated with earthquakes and was believed to have rejuvenated the world. He was also thought to have taught humans crafts.
There seems to be many spellings for this piece, and our description is the best we can find after scouring the internet, combined with our supplier's story.
